Diplomacy ~ GooberStyle

Alright. Our girl has been a little neglectful lately, but that doesn't mean Stella and I have not been keeping ourselves stimulated.

We've been fueding over this aMAZing flamingo Noah and his sissies sent us from the Land Down Under at the beginning of the year.

I love this flamingo so much that I took him with me on my roadtrip to New York.

Up until recently all in the land of GooberStan acknowledged that I had MAJOR dibs on this little guy. Stella would play with him, but only when I was asleep or otherwise occupied.

She knew not to disturb a flamingo-focused goob in the middle of his flamingo worship.

All of that changed this week, however.

Every chance she has gotten, she's been dogging me and my Aussie mingo bud.

Tugging, growling... you know, talkin' lots of trash...

and going to the mattresses over that flamingo...

until something fortuitous happened.

His head popped off!

Now Stella has HER piece of the mingo,

and I have MINE!

Needless to say, Stella is STINKIN' happy about that. That's what we in the country-running business call diplomacy.

Goober love,
Stanley

Why does the mom think this post is so funny??? TD loves to pull the heads off his stuffies and he does it all by himself. Stella is a toughie, isn't she? But we think you got the best end of this deal, Stan.

We think you got the better end of the deal, Stanley! Your half is much bigger!

Yup, you have yourself a consensus going there old buddy. You got the better part of the FLA MINGO. You can have lots more fun with legs and arms and torso, more to stretch, more to chew. I'm sure Stella loves her part because of the star...but I'd share the rear end with you, were it my preference.

I like the little beheaded stuffies myself.

That flying Stella, well, she is kind of springy, huh?

We are thinking that the bird is the clever one. He figured out how to appease both of you and make you think it was your idea.

Haa love the way Stell positions herself on a chair for a level playing field. Very diplomatic. Democratic too. Unless you're a Fla Mingo.

Wiry wags n kisses Eric xxxx

That stella is just something else.

That's a great solution! Hope everyone is happy. I am no diplomat and neither is Arrow. We always want what the other one has. Maybe we can learn something from you and Stella. (She's so cute. I would share with her)

Oh my lord....that photo of Stella is hilarious. Glad you're both enjoying the bird. We had a funny feeling watching the progression of the photos that it was doomed lol.

Geesh sorry our main man..When I taught the diva how to trash talk I NEVER thought she would use it on her own BROTHER......We agree you got the best part of the flamingo...Love and a million kisses A+A

Stanley, if you hadn't told us, we woulda thought you swallowed the head of that pink flamingo. It kinda reminds of us the hard plastic one you had already decapitated. It seems they just aren't quite right with heads.

Stella, since when could you fly?

Barks of love,
Jake and Fergi (heading home soon!)

OOps.. the flamingo 'sploded but still looks like it can last for a while longer!! (Stan, I am glad you got the better and bigger part of the flamingo)...

Woah, Stella can LEVITATE with happiness?? That is some serious talent!! Great compromise you guys made, talk about sharing!!

Stanley, while I am pleased you managed to keep hold of the larger half of the flamingo I do worry that you may have been a little bullied. You may wonder why I make this dramatic statement....... because of my own experiences with "Jaws" here every day. It is just not fair.

Molly.

Way to go Stella, keep up the excellent work.

Stanley! Quick! I think Stella has her back foot caught in the back of the sofa in that last shot. Maybe you can steal the head back and have both pieces for yourself. Screw diplomacy! I'm all about seniority.

Sorry, Stanley, but we agree with Sophie! To heck with diplomacy! In THIS house, I (Poppy) decide who gets to play with what stuffie. Patches can have her nasty old blind froggie and I get all the rest! Penny says she's way too dignified to play with stuffies...unless, of course, they have a squeeker!

Glad to see you got the bigger half of mingo, but you better guard it while you're sleeping!

Aire-hugs,
Poppy, Penny & Patches

Goob! And Stella! We're hoping you're doing good! We're back home, after traveling cross-country with our stuffie bones under each of our chins the whole way. Great pillows they make, when I'm (Jake) not playing with them. And now that we are home and I don't have to worry about sharing with those little Yorkies of my Gramma's, I LOVE LOVE LOVE my little tennis balls! Moma said she'd make a video to show you. Fergi watches, and kindly lets me model how to play with them.

We thought about you as we traveled, remembering our rendezvous in June. We'll have to repeat it someday. That was great fun and now we've got great memories.

We hope all is okay. Drop us a line when you can.

Luv ya bunches,
Jake and Fergi

What in the world was Stella doing in that last photo? It looks like she's levitating off the couch! Either that, or you gave her a flamingo fling through the air (hope she landed safely).

Anyway, I think a little duct tape will fix that bird right up.

Happy Tails,
William Tell

Koobuss said...

Sorry to see that the flamingo lost his head, but I guess that was a happy solution for everybody. As they say, all's well that ends well.

Hope the flamingo doesn't lose any more body parts.
Hehehehe...
