StellaFest Part 2

WHOA! Goobery greetings & salutations!

Since this is my very first birthday EVER, I had no idea what to expect. This whole birthday thing has been an odyssey of friends, food, presents, and loads of love! The celebration has been going on now for almost 2 weeks and I want to share some more of it with you. Are you ready?

Lets start with my FAB birthday cards and all of the poems, limericks and songs I got. I've been cracking up ever since they started rolling in! The first one is from my buddies Maggie & Mitch. (Sorry. I couldn't figure out how to load it onto my blog so it would show up so you can't see it.)

This is part of Agatha & Archie's card to me. It was a video card, which my crazy girl can't figure how to load here. But this is the photo and the caption they sent with it!

Dear Stella,It's hard to believe it is your birthday already!! HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! Hope you get lots and lots of treats and goodies and toys!!(what more could a girl ask for????) Give the Goober a kiss for us..Love and kisses to you birthday girl! Agatha and Archie(oh and PL2)

This here is a poem from my pal, Deetz! He chose my Audrey Hepburn photo to accompany the poem.

A Birthday Poem for a special little terrier girl
I am not very good, but will give it a whirl.

She has a big brother named, Stan
Who loves and protects her, as best as he can.

Ms. Stella so loved by all who have met her.
With those curls and button nose, she even makes the kitty’s purr.

She walks with grace, the same way Audrey Hepburn did.
And plays with toys and bitey face, just like any other kid.

This birthday poem, I wish her well.
Please don’t party so hard you wind up in jail.

But, if you do, I’ll break you out.
For I am a Stormy’s mission army scout.

Wear your bandanna and collars very proud.
And your birthday party makes you feel like your floating on a cloud.

With your permission, may I kiss you on the nose.
Then maybe later we can play a little bitey toes.

Happy Birthday my Little Ms. Stella
From your pal, Deetz, one goodlooking hansome Fella.

Happy Happy Birthday To You!!!

Deetzy

Look at this sweet sweet card from Rocky & Lacy Lulu!

Being my fashion icon and terrier girl mentor, Asta knew just what type of card to send me.

My fabulous friend, Ruby Bleu, wrote me a special song to the tune of "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" by Cindi Lauper.

I come in from running outside
Stanley and my Girl says it's my barkday tonight
I can't believe that I just turned 1...
I'm Stella and I like to have fun
It's my first barkday and I'm gonna have fun!!!

Last year, I was a pup looking for a home
My Girl says Stanley we could give her a good life
Oh I can't believe what a lucky girl I was
I'm Stella and I like to have fun
It's my first barkday and I'm gonna have fun!!!

That's all I really want
Lots of bloggy friends and a loving home too
I'm Stella and I like to have fun
It's my first barkday and I'm gonna have fun!!!

Lots of Licks, Ruby

This is Girl Girl's card to me. Can you see her giving me a birthday smooch?

Noah, Willow, Lucy & Tess came up with this inviting limerick for me. (How did they know I LOVE beer?)

Stella lives in the States
She & I are great mates
I wish shelived here
Where we'd share a beer
&
Go running around the estate.

This card is from Boy & Baby.

I also received some gooberlicious presents from Noah, Willow, Tess & Lucy; from Momo & Pinot; and from Mr. T-Bone Beaseley, and a very special birthday card from my boyfriend, Taffy. My girl put them all in one box for me to see how I'd handle opening it. The presents themselves will be revealed in my last installment of StellaFest, but here are a few photos of me investigating the goods!

Since the over-the-top approach was NOT working I knocked the box over and went for the side approach.

Ahhhh. Much better.

Maybe I could live in here.

Don't fret! My big hairy Stanley wasn't left out in the cold!

Thank you everydoggie, hammie & kitty who stopped by to give me birthday LOVE!

I LOVE ALL OF YOU with all of my goober heart!

One happy goobette,
Stella

GooberFest Part 2

And so, my barkday continues! Not only did I have an amazingly gooberlicious time ON my actual birthday, but I continue to celebrate the goober essence that is ME. Here are some cool cards I got from some buddies!

Thanks Rocky, Angel LacyLulu, and Balboa (whose goober name is Boober)!! I LOVE the cards, and I love YOU!

~~~~~~~
As if that gorgeous pink flamingo from Mumsie wasn't enough, look at this funky rubber tug clover I got from Lacie, Scruffy, and BabyStan! (Actually, it's for mine & Stella's birthdays, since she turns 1 at the end of this month.
Stella didn't know it was for us both, so naturally, I tried to claim it for my own.
My plan was thwarted by the scheming of the Stellanator! Can you see her eyeball peeking out between my jaws of death?
After that, it was ON!
That clover tug can s t r e t c h!!!!! I was flinging Stella all over the place!
But of course, she'd always spring right back at my face!
We tried going for a rugby scrum type of tug technique.
Here I'm reading my birthday greetings from the Terrier Three. Scruffy must have picked out the card... he was on the cover!
Stella's only just started reading. She has to sound out all the big words.
Thanks from the bottom of our goober hearts!!!!! You're the BEST, and you definitely know your tug toys!
~~~~~~~

We also had a package waiting for us at the post office from lovely Singapaw! Our buddy Huskee Boy and his sissy Moosie the hammie girl sent us the most deliciously funky combo of presents! Here I'm sporting the gorgeous blue bananadana they sent me while chewing on a Stella-sized tug toy they sent for her.

Here's a juicy goober smooch for YOU, MOOSIE GIRL!

And, to insure that I knew part of these presents were for Stella, Huskee & Moosie put this cute label on the stuff for her. (It didn't keep me from stealing her tug toy, though.)

Once she got the bananadana on, we couldn't get Stella to take it off! She thinks she looks like Audrey Hepburn.

We found this FABULOUSLY squeaky soccer ball in with the other loot!

I finally stopped moving long enough for my girl to get a shot of me with the squeaky bone Huskee & Moosie sent for me. Naturally, I allowed Stella to investigate her own tug toy since I had finished with my safety inspection.

What YOU lookin' at, Stella?

As much as I tried to be good, I couldn't stay away from that cute little tug toy of Stella's. I like cute toys, so SUE ME!

However, the Singaporian goodness does not stop there! Oh, no sir! We found some Puppyman dog treats.....

... and this super yummy salmon jerky in with all of the other cool stuff!

Bow Wow salmon jerky totally ROCKS MY WORLD! I may give up all rights to the Puppyman treats if I get to keep these to myself.

You guys WAAAAAY outdid yourselves. I'm definitely feeling the love all the way from Singapaw, and so is Stella! We LOVE you guys! Thanks for sending some of your love our way!

Here's a "roachin' goober" shot to illustrate how MUCH I'm feelin' the love!

Thanks, buddies! We love you!
Stanley

Secret Squirrel Announcement about Stella's Birthday:

Shhhhhh. Don't tell Stella anything about this, but since her first birthday is coming up on May 27th, I want you guys to know what she REALLY wants for her big day. If you want to show your love for her, she loves silly poems, haikus, limericks... pretty much anything you want to write to tell why you're her friend or what you love about her. The GooberStanian post office is complaining about all the packages we've been getting, so we want to give them a break. Remember, keep this secret until that day. We'll put a post up on her birthday and you can leave your "gift" in a comment if you'd like!

Award Season Catch Up

Even though there is a writer's strike, we have had an awards show here in GooberStan. No red carpet (we have a white one... with mud stains on it... whatever), but we're just as excited! Here are some of the awards we received at a ceremony that happened several days ago.

Lacy Lulu and Momo & her brother Pinot think we are Bloggers of the WORLD! Thank you for this award. We are humbled and honored.

We also received the You Make My Day Award from a boatload of friends, including Bogart, Koobus, Buster Sephie & Ms. Bailey, and our Scottish bud, Marvin. You all make our day, and we're stinkin' excited that we make yours.

Then, my love pup & Stella's buddy, Ruby Bleu, awarded us with the Thinking Blogger Award. This is one award we are most surprised to receive, but we are very pleased by it. We hope we make people think... and not just about the gooberish side of life.

Just today, we found out that our buddy, Odie, the Beagle Boy (go visit him ~ he's new to DWB), gave us the Thank You for Being My Friend Award. Thank YOU, Odie BOY! We love that you're our friend!

So many pups, hammies, and cats have received these awards already, and as it's taken us a very LOOOONGGGGG time to post about them, we are offering to share these awards with all our buds! Enjoy and know that we LOVE being part of your lives!!

Here is a photo of me, by popular demand. (Someone mentioned they were having goober withdrawal & I can't let that happen).

Goober Love,

Stanley & Stella
